1. Yo Maps

Elton Mulenga (born November 29, 1994) professionally known as Yo Maps was born in Kasama.

Yo Maps is a Zambian musician, songwriter, and singer. 

Yo Map’s passion for music began at an early age when he was a teenager schooling at Chibombo High School. While in school around 2008, Yo Maps was in the choir and did more gospel songs than secular. At home, his mother would not buy his idea to venture into music thereby grounding him to doing it while he was in school. This, however, did not dampen his spirit.

He continued doing his thing while in school and luckily, his father Muyunda Mundia is the one who got him on the springboard to musical success. Mundia was a gospel singer and dedicated catholic.

Yo Maps dedicated his soul to music and learnt as much as he would from 2008. As fate would have it, he bumped into Slapdee who he learnt a thing or two from and in 2011, he released his first album. People now knew his name because the music industry in Zambia was going through a trying time with the beefing of Slapdee and Macky2 whose music careers started almost at the same time.

2. Roberto

Robert Banda is a multi-award winning Zambian RnB artist, song writer, producer, Radio DJ and voice over artist popularly known by his stage name Roberto. Many Roberto songs, like Fyonse ft. The singer has also collaborated with various international acts such as Patoranking (Nigeria), Stone bwoy (Ghana), Vanessa Mdee, Alino (Ivory coast), Brian Soko among others. Roberto has performed alongside renowned international artists Davido, AKA, Wiz Kid, Casper Nyovest and so on.

3. Chile One Mr. Zambia

Chileshe Oby Wanga are the full names of a famous Zambian artist popularly known as Chile One Mr. Zambia.

He comes from a humble tow of Chililabombwe, in Lubengele township. The now star singer was born from there and is still based there. CHILE ONE MR ZAMBIA got on the musical scene after his wedding/matebeto. He did a smash hit FWEBA KU CHAUME which featured Jemax BACHILOLO. The eminent is believed to be signed under a record label called – 4040G Music Entertainments. It was with this label that he managed to raise to prominence. He is keeping the speakers buzzing. He had gained unusual fanebase. Everyone who listens to his performance instantly loves him.

It is a good sign that he is doing a very good job. He has filled in the space . With his skills Zambians have loved him. His career is expanding , he is definitely the now star. 4. Drimz Mr. Music

Drimz, aka Bashi Lota, was born as Lota Mandevu on 24th September 1985. in Kabwe as a third child in a family of six.

His stage name Drimz was coined as a result of a nickname his friends gave him a nickname which was a translation of his actual name Lota. It was first Dreams then he changed it to DRIMZ which is actually an acronym which stands for D-determined R-resonate I-inspire M-motivated Z-Zambian

His passion for music came as a result of listening and miming to a lot of Zambian music, he then started singing in the praise team and overtime became one of the main praise and worship leaders and that’s when he decided to take music seriously.

Frank Chirwa also known by the stage names of Afunika is a Zambian musician from the Copperbelt, Chingola. He was born on 31st July 1985.

Some of the albums include ‘Malinso’, ‘Wounded Buffalo‘ and ‘Ichimusebo‘. He did his primary and junior secondary education at Rhodes park school, his senior secondary at Kabulonga boys then later went to The University of Zambia to pursue Bachelors degree of arts in Development studies and sociology where he graduated in 2013.

He was inspired by beautiful soulful music from various artists. He then decided to venture into music professionally with the quest explore his talent and see how far he can go in the entertainment industry. He combined the name Kaladoshas from his birth name Kalale.

Apart from music, Kaladoshas is an advertising and marketing consultant and he is currently pursuing a Masters at the University of South Wales.

8. Wezi or Wezi HeartSound

Victoria Wezi , known in music circles as Wezi or Wezi HeartSound, is a Zambian singer and songwriter. She rose to fame in 2016 after releasing her debut EP-Uhai which won her the 2016 new artist of the year at the Zambian music awards.

Career
Professionally, she started music in 2012. She is a proud Christian, she regards no rules nor laws unless stated by the Lord Jesus Christ, she loves to live life and so her list of hobbies is endless. Currently, she’s pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the school of humanities at the University of Zambia.
The theme of her life is ‘Spreading Hope’. Music is soulful and her writing is poetic for she was inspired by deep thoughts and emotions based on her upbringing and the realities that surrounded her. Her musical influences in Zambia across all genres, from hip-hop to kalindula. She can say she loves every ‘Brilliant musician’ who has graced the Zambian music scene from the early days till now. But every person has preferences and hers have been Pompi and Zone Fam.

Wezi competed in the Airtel Trace Music Stars competition. The finale to crown the Zambian winner took place at popular live music venue The Web and was attended by many people from the entertainment industry as well as family and friends of contestants. Wezi came out second, while Bernard Shaluchiso took first place.
Musically she has collaborated with the likes of General Ozzy, Wilz, Zone fam, and Cleo Ice Queen, among others.

9. T Low ALahji

Amos Chipasha, also known as T-Low BadMan AlLahji, was born August 2nd, 1992 in the city of Ndola. In 2014, T-Low cultivated a desire to compose his own music as he felt the passion to write music become more of an addiction than simply an interest. This gave birth to his professional career as an artist and songwriter. T-Low Specializing in upbeat Afro-Pop and R&B, T-Low feels relatable and danceable music can help ease the loneliness that accompanies sorrowful moments in life.

10. Mr. Turner
